电缆纸是供高压电力电缆、控制电缆和信号电缆用的一种绝缘纸。它包在电缆更外层，用以保护导电线芯的绝缘层密封，不使潮气侵入，也不让绝缘层遭受破坏。为卷筒纸。定量为45～175g/m2。纸质坚韧、匀整。有较高的抗张、耐折和撕裂强度。不含金属、沙粒及能导电的酸性物质。介电常数高。功率因数低。经受绝缘性液体处理时，纸的稳定性良好。其品种依据不同厚度或颜色来划分。以未漂硫酸盐针叶木浆为原料，经游离状打浆后，不施胶，不加填(料)，在长网造纸机上抄造而成。用于电线或电缆的匝间绝缘。
