岩棉行业隶属中国绝热节能材料协会，岩棉板是以玄武岩为主要原料,经高温熔化、纤维化处理、产品后加工等一系列工艺过程而制得的一种无机纤维板。它具有优良的绝热性能、吸声性能、防火性能，并且质轻，属于新型建筑材料。岩棉是国际上公认的“第五常规能源”中的主要节能材料，设备上每采用1m3的岩棉制品进行保温，平均可节省能量2500卡/小时，相当于每年可节省3吨标准煤。在建筑上每使用1吨岩棉板进行保温，一年至少可节省相当于1吨石油的能量。我国于50年代末开始从国外引进相关技术，但一直停留在生产矿棉的阶段，尽管这些年来我国矿棉行业有所发展,但整体生产水平及工艺与国外发达国家仍有很大差距，无法满足外墙外保温用岩棉制品GB/T25975-2010标准，对此河北华能岩棉制造有限公司引进国外先进技术、同时依托自身的技术力量，采用国际先进的四辊高速离心机、摆锤技术以及三维铺棉法生产，加上科学精细化管理，施可达建筑用岩棉板完全符合GB/T25975-2010标准，亦满足或达到欧美等发达国家的相关标准。
