快速测温热电偶用于测量钢水及高温熔融金属的温度，是一次性消耗式热电偶。它的工作原理是根据金属的热电效应，利用热电偶两端所产生的温差电热测量钢水及高熔融金属温度。快速热电偶主要由测温偶头与大纸管构成。偶头主要有正负偶丝焊接在补偿导线上，补偿导线穿嵌在支架上，支架外套有小纸管，偶丝以石英支撑和保护。外部装有防渣帽，全部零组件集中装入泥头中并以耐火填充剂粘合成一整体，而不可拆卸，故为一次性使用。
