[植物特征]直立，丛生，株高30－50厘米；叶2-3回羽状深裂，裂片较宽，披针形至椭圆形；头状花序，花碗状，半重瓣、重瓣，簇生，舌状花黄色、金黄色或桔黄色。花期夏秋。
[生理特征]一年生草本植物，种子发芽适温15-25℃，生长适温15-30℃,不耐寒，忌酷热，喜光照和湿润、排水良好的土壤。
播种季节
1.可春播，也可夏播，发芽需要7－10日，最适温度为24°C，发芽50－60日后开花；
2.硫华菊生长期短，仅需50多天即可开花，故可以根据不同需要选择播种时间。
播种方法
1.春播硫华菊花期6－8月，夏播花期9－10月；
2.开直径3－5厘米的黄、金黄和橙色花；
3.如果夏季炎热程度加剧，硫华菊的花期会有提前的倾向
