二甲基酮肟(Acetone oxime简称DMKO)又称为丙酮肟，常温下为白色片状结晶，熔点：60～61℃，水溶性：320g/l(21℃)，易溶于水、醇、醚、酮、烃、石油醚等有机溶剂，是以羟胺和羰基化合物以缩合反应而制得的新型锅炉水除氧剂，有较强的还原性，有似水合氯醛气味，在空气中挥发很快，呈中性反应，在稀酸中易水解。能快速降低水中的溶解氧，在金属钢材表面形成良好的磁性氧化物保护膜，防止氧腐蚀，并对金属表面起到缓蚀和钝化的作用，且具有用量少、无毒、排放无污染等有点。
