翻转板主要由三个部分构成，分别为上板、中板和下板，主体部分之间通过旋转轴相接呈Z字形结构。并且为保证产品的好用、实用、耐用，在实际研发的过程中经过反复测量和实验，最终采取了中间板的塑料件中包注金属部件的设计。翻转板共有四行板和全页版（二十七行）两种规格。无论哪种规格方和行的提示信息都非常明确，在上层板的背面，设置了很多细小的凸起，主要起支撑作用，为了防止书写过程中将已经写好的盲文压扁，底层板字模的尺寸进行了反复的试验和验证，对字模不同直径、曲率、深度进行了排列组合式的验证，保证书写过程中不容易出现重叠、串行的问题。
