精梳棉纱制成的布料在质感、耐洗与耐用度都有较高的品质水准。精梳棉是指在纺纱的过程中，增加了精致梳理的程序，做法是梳去较短的纤维，并剔除棉花中的杂质，以制造出平滑的纱线，让棉花更有韧性，不易起毛球，棉花的品质也就更加稳定。精梳的棉纱更光滑，平整，出来的面料表面平整，没有棉结。染色出来的效果也好。采用较细的精梳高支纱线作双经，与较粗的纬纱以纬重平组织交织而成。精梳棉棉布密，柔软、坚实。建议可以用“观看”与“触摸”两种方法鉴别普通棉和精梳棉。吸湿性好，滑爽，穿着好，易洗易干，防臭，吸汗排湿。
