摩擦焊，是指利用焊件表面相互摩擦所产生的热能，使端面达到热塑性状态，然后迅速顶锻，完成焊接的一种压焊方法。

可焊接各种刀具毛坯、铜-铝过渡接头、双金属轴承、气门、转向拉杆、半轴、减振器、增压器涡轮轴、S形凸轮轴、套筒扳手、建筑螺纹钢、钻杆、抽油杆、电机轴等零部件产品。摩擦焊也常用于异种金属焊接，如铝与铜、钢、镍、镁合金；铜与钢、银等，在铝-铜导线过渡接头的焊接方面应用广泛。

Friction welding is also commonly used in dissimilar metal welding, such as aluminum and copper, steel, nickel, magnesium alloy; copper and steel, silver, etc., in the aluminum-copper wire transition joint welding is widely used.
